The 16th Australasian Lymphology Association Conference will be held from 30 April to 3 May 2026 at the Cairns Convention Centre, QLD.

With the theme for 2026: ‘Innovating lymphatic science and improving tomorrow’s care’, the 16th ALA Conference Program will comprise of a variety of sessions including invited plenary speakers, oral presentations, poster presentations and pre-conference workshops. Whether an experienced practitioner, a passionate researcher, or new to the field, you will find that the 2026 ALA Conference will offer something for everyone, uniting our community in the pursuit of better outcomes for those living with lymphoedema and lymphatic conditions.

About the registration process

Welcome to the registration platform for the 16th ALA Conference. This registration platforms allows for two options to register:

  • Individual registration
  • Group registrations (2-5 attendees)

Workshop Information:
Experience the Vodder Endorsed Deep Oscillation Therapy in action through a highly practical and interactive session. Learn step-by-step treatment protocols for reducing swelling, softening fibrotic tissue, and accelerating recovery post-surgery or trauma. Participants will leave confident in applying Deep Oscillation Therapy alongside MLD, CDT, compression, and exercise therapy.

From Imaging to Impact: Clinical Applications and Preliminary Outcomes of ICG-Guided Compression Therapy

Workshop Information:
Indocyanine green lymphography (ICGL) has improved our understanding of lymphatic dysfunction leading to lymphoedema and has enabled more personalised conservative management, particularly in relation to compression garment recommendations. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to ICGL-based compression garment recommendations, their outcomes, and how these can be translated into clinical practice.

The highlight of the workshop will be an exploration of findings from recent translational research conducted at the Australian Lymphoedema Education, Research and Treatment Centre (ALERT), which reports on the clinical outcomes of ICGL-based compression garment recommendations. Participants will also have the opportunity to practise a standardised approach to prescribing compression garments based on these discussions

From Challenge to Possibility: A New Solution for Head & Neck Lymphoedema

Workshop Information:
Sequential Intermittent Pneumatic Compression (SIPC) is widely used in lymphoedema management; however, clinicians have had limited options for treating the head and neck due to the absence of an appropriate garment. This workshop introduces Medi-Rent’s new head and neck garment, designed for use with the 4008 Bio Compression Pump, offering a much-needed therapeutic option for this complex region.

The session will provide a streamlined overview of Medi-Rent’s compression pump and garment range, followed by real-world case studies developed by practising therapists. Participants will engage in Q&A throughout and will have the opportunity to trial the new head and neck system, the 4008 pump, and some other exciting new product releases debuting at ALA Conference 2025.

After this workshop, participants will:
• Understand Medi-Rent’s compression pump portfolio and how it meets diverse patient needs.
• Recognise the key differences between pump brands and models, and clinical factors in choosing each.
• Know how to integrate SIPC therapy effectively within broader lymphoedema management plans.
• Learn how to individualise pump settings for optimal treatment outcomes.
• Gain general guidelines for applying SIPC in head and neck lymphoedema management.

Shining the Light on your Lymphoedema Practice

Workshop Information:
Riancorp is pleased to host a workshop to update lymphoedema practitioners on Low Level Laser Therapy. The workshop will cover some laser basics – what are the important terms to know and understand? We will update attendees on the latest research, what has been published and what research is currently being undertaken.
Lesli Bell is our invited speaker from the USA. Lesli is an engaging speaker and she will discuss how she has incorporated laser into her practice. She will discuss practical use of laser with other techniques to improve scar tissue and fibrosis.

2025 ALA Symposium Registration Summary

2026 ALA Conference Registration Terms and Conditions
By purchasing goods or services from the Australasian Lymphology Association and ConferenceNational (the contracted Event Agency) for the 2026 Australasian Lymphology Association Conference, the customer is deemed to accept these Terms and Conditions. We may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Conference Cancellation, Refund, Amendment Policy The contracted Event Agency ConferenceNational is in charge of conference registration. We understand that circumstances can change. Any amendments to a registration must be made in writing to ConferenceNational via alaconference@conferencenational.com.au. If you cannot attend the conference after making a registration, there are two options: Name change or cancellation. • Registration Amendments: At any point prior to the event, you are welcome to contact us in writing to nominate a substitute delegate at no extra charge – ticket name change. Tickets will only be transferred on approval from the secretariat. Only one name change is free of charge. If there is a second request of name change for one ticket, an administrative fee of AUD 55.00 will be charged. • Refunds: Any amendment that is connected to a complicated refund process (for example changing registration ticket) will incur in an administrative fee of AUD 55.00 to be charged. • Cancellation: We understand that sometimes a name change is not possible, and the registration needs to be cancelled. A cancellation request needs to be made in writing to alaconference@conferencenational.com.au. A full refund less an AUD 100.00 cancellation fee will be issued for cancellations received before 10 April 2026. No refunds will be issued from 10 April 2026. Non-payment does not constitute cancellation. • Credit Card Transaction Fees: these fees must be paid by the delegate and will not be refunded. This is for making a registration, and for requesting a refund. Payments Full payment MUST be made at time of registration. Once registration is received a confirmation email and tax invoice will be issued. All registration ticket prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are correct at the date of offer. Any prices quoted may be subject to change until registration is confirmed. Sponsorship prices are issued in Australian Dollars (AU$). Registration Credit Card Payments We will neither collect nor store your credit card details. On the registration form, you will be directed to use the credit card payment facilities provided by SecurePay. Secure Pay makes the following statement on security: SecurePay is committed to data security. SecurePay uses a variety of technologies and procedures to help protect personal information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. For example, SecurePay stores the data in computer servers with limited access that are located in controlled facilities secured by the latest in surveillance and security technology. When SecurePay transmits sensitive information (such as a credit card numbers), SecurePay protects it through using strong methods of encryption required as per PCI-DSS. Liability and warranty The Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 applies to the sale of goods or services to consumers. If the goods or services are acquired for a business, then our liability is limited to the contract price. Disclaimer The conference conveners reserve the right to change activities, topics and presenters where necessary. Neither the organisers (ConferenceNational) nor the conveners shall be liable for any loss caused by the cancellation of the conference where such cancellation is due to Force Majeure. The term "Force Majeure" means any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the organisers including but not limited to war, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), terrorism, aircraft hijacking, military operation, riot, civil war, rebellion, civil commotion or unrest, natural disasters, Acts or Regulations of government, refusal to grant visas, explosions, transport delays, transport difficulties and the insolvency of airline carriers. The organisers will use all reasonable efforts to conduct the conference despite the intervention or occurrence of any such cause. Attendees are advised that photographs and videos may be taken during the conference and reproduced for promotional purposes.   • All transactions are in AUD and inclusive of 10% GST
  • Payment must be made at the end of the registration process by credit card; a receipt will be emailed with your confirmation
