From Challenge to Possibility: A New Solution for Head & Neck Lymphoedema
Workshop Information:
Sequential Intermittent Pneumatic Compression (SIPC) is widely used in lymphoedema management; however, clinicians have had limited options for treating the head and neck due to the absence of an appropriate garment. This workshop introduces Medi-Rent’s new head and neck garment, designed for use with the 4008 Bio Compression Pump, offering a much-needed therapeutic option for this complex region.
The session will provide a streamlined overview of Medi-Rent’s compression pump and garment range, followed by real-world case studies developed by practising therapists. Participants will engage in Q&A throughout and will have the opportunity to trial the new head and neck system, the 4008 pump, and some other exciting new product releases debuting at ALA Conference 2025.
After this workshop, participants will:
• Understand Medi-Rent’s compression pump portfolio and how it meets diverse patient needs.
• Recognise the key differences between pump brands and models, and clinical factors in choosing each.
• Know how to integrate SIPC therapy effectively within broader lymphoedema management plans.
• Learn how to individualise pump settings for optimal treatment outcomes.
• Gain general guidelines for applying SIPC in head and neck lymphoedema management.
